Minerva was established in 1988 by a group of women who discovered that they shared a love of reading and talking about books. We have been going strong ever since, with several original members still in attendance!

Can’t imagine the flames, the smoke, the noise Roaring, rending, tearing A beast in the throes of death, agony The screaming, Surreal; a daze, malaise Escape, escape, snap out of it Where, where, where Burning there, no escape There is no escape, THERE IS NO ESCAPE Only the window

Can’t imagine
the flames, the smoke, the noise
Roaring, rending, tearing
A beast in the throes of death, agony
The screaming,
Surreal; a daze, malaise
Escape, escape, snap out of it
Where, where, where
Burning there, no escape
There is no escape, THERE IS NO ESCAPE
Only the window
